Blue Lotus Wine Recipe

Ingredients

1 bottle of your favourite wine (red is most commonly used)

1 oz of blue lotus flowers (or more if you want it stronger, but we suggest with starting with 1 oz for your first try)

Optional: Sweeteners such as sugar, fruit or honey.

Optional: Any of your favourite spices.

Directions

1. Crush your blue lotus flowers with a mortar and pestle, scissors or coffee grinder.

2. Add the flowers to the bottle of wine and re-cork the bottle. Shake the wine vigorously and place in the fridge for 1-2 weeks.

3. Once its ready to strain, use a fine mesh strainer, cheese cloth, or coffee filter to remove the flowers from the wine.

4. The lotus effects will come in the same time as the alcohol effects. Some feel more calm, relaxed and slightly euphoric when drinking the lotus wine compared to wine alone. When serving the drink, you can enjoy it as is, or top it off with blueberries, or blackberries to enhance a more fruity-sangria type flavor if you wish. Try adding about 20% sparkling water to make it more of a spritzer.

The Effects of Blue Lotus Wine

Many people report a sensational relaxation that differs from drinking wine just on its own. Some people feel a mildly stimulating effect, which promotes a state of joyful connection. Some may feel its libido enhancing effects, and some men even use it to help reduce symptoms of ED. The experience differs from person to person, and you may need to experiment with the strength of your blue lotus wine to find the perfect balance for you. Most importantly, relax, have fun, and share this with someone you love.
