    This herb contains active ingredients, such as hydroquinone and arbutin, which provide antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties useful for treating urinary tract infections.

 

  • Yarrow (Achillea Millefolium)

    Yarrow is diaphoretic, hypotensive, astringent, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, diuretic, antimicrobial, bitter, and hepatic. It’s a great helper to the other herbs in assisting the bacteria to detach from the urethra and flush out of the body.

 

  • Marshmallow Root (Althaea Officinalis)

    Marshmallow is an incredible herb to cool burning sensations. It produces a soothing, cooling, mucilage substance that brings down sensations of burning, itching, inflamed membranes.

 

  • Wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium)

    Fights parasites, malaria, fungal infections, and UTI’s with its powerful anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. It’s active ingredients inhibit the growth of bacteria so that it stops multiplying and the immune system can take care of it easier.

 

  • Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza Glabra)

    Another great herb to sooth inflammation and reduce discomfort associated with UTI’s. The root has cooling and anti-bacterial properties that kill infections and eliminate inflammation.


Foods To Avoid

It is absolutely necessary to avoid foods that bacterial infections feed on. It may surprise you to hear that bacteria can eat and be strengthened, but it is true. Unless you remove these foods from your diet, especially while fighting an infections, recovery may be slowed.

Eggs, butter, ghee, milk, cheese, wheat, bread, and canola oil all feed pathogens. Be sure to completely avoid these foods if you feel an infection coming on.


Healing Foods

Raw honey contains phytochemicals that destroy different types bacterias. Arugula, ginger, garlic, winter squash, sweet potatoes, kale, lemon, lime, spinach, bananas, and the meat and water of coconuts are all supportive foods to incorporate. Try to focus on a highly plant based diet with lots of living foods and avoid the bread, dairy, cheese, and meats until your infection is gone.
 

Be sure to drink a lot of lemon water in order to flush out the bacteria. The lemon contains powerful vitamin C that boosts the immune system to help kill the intruders. Adding lemon into your water is an easy and effective way to flush out unwanted bacteria.
